The departmental appeals board is the fourth level of appeal. If you are dissatisfied with the decision made by the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ), you may request a review from the Appeals Council. The request can be sent to the address included in your ALJ decision notice. This appeal request needs to be filed in writing within 60 days after the date of the ALJ’s decision notice.  Additional instructions are also included in the ALJ’s decision notice.
