Cahaba Medicare Part A “Ask Cahaba A”
The "Open Door Forums" offered by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid
Services (CMS) have created the opportunity for communication between providers
on a national basis. The forums serve to identify problems in a timely
fashion, provide methods of sharing information, and evaluate the needs
of the customer (i.e., providers and suppliers).
Cahaba has adopted a similar approach to communicating with their enrolled
providers by organizing toll-free “Ask the Contractor Teleconferences” or
ACTs, to complement the work of the PCOM Advisory Group(s).
The conference calls consist of three parts. Initially, Cahaba Medicare Part A will present providers with information concerning hot topics and new issues. Subsequently, the call will be opened to providers to ask questions directly to team representatives from each department. A ‘wrap-up’ session will conclude the call.
We ask that participants observe all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations concerning the privacy of protected health information. These calls are limited to the first 100 participants accessing the conference call. CMS representatives are invited to attend these teleconference calls.
Cahaba GBA Medicare Part A schedules the “Ask Cahaba B” teleconferences
every quarter. Please check the Schedule
of Upcoming Events for the date and time of the next scheduled
teleconference.
