Cahaba Government Benefit Administrators (Cahaba) has been a Medicare contractor for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) since the inception of the program in 1966. Medicare has two components: Part A covers services received from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other institutional providers; Part B covers services rendered by physicians, laboratories and suppliers.

Cahaba processes claims for the following states/regions:
