CMS Continuing Education (CMSCE)

CMS offers many ways to earn continuing education credit. The way you claim your credit depends on the source of the education. Please check the instructions from each source to learn how to claim your credit.

Ask the Contractor

These teleconferences create the opportunity for providers to ask specific questions concerning billing and Medicare policies and procedures. ACTs also provide a means of sharing information and function as a tool for listening to the provider community.

Cahaba University

Contains common computer based training (CBT) courses and the most recent recorded events (webinars and teleconferences) that you may have been unable to attend.

CMS Medicare Provider e-News

An official Medicare Learning Network® (MLN) branded CMS product that contains a week’s worth of news for Medicare Fee-for-Service (FFS) providers.

Comprehensive Error Rate Testing (CERT)

The CERT program was initiated by CMS and produces national, contractor-specific, and service-specific paid claim error rates, as well as a provider compliance error rate.

A monthly publication containing news and updates from CMS and Cahaba GBA.

Advisory Group

This group provides input and feedback on training topics, provider/supplier education materials, and dates and locations of provider/supplier education workshops and events.   Consisting of members primarily from the provider community, meetings are conducted 3 or 4 times per year.

Recovery Audit Contractors (RAC)

This contractor is primarily responsible for identifying and correcting improper payments through the detection and collection of overpayments made on claims of health care services provided to Medicare beneficiaries, and the identification of underpayments to providers so that the CMS can implement actions that will prevent future improper payments.
