Cahaba Government Benefit Administrators, LLC ® (Cahaba) has been a Medicare contractor for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) since the inception of the program in 1966. Medicare has two components: Part A covers services received from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and other institutional providers; Part B covers services rendered by physicians, laboratories and suppliers.


Cahaba GBA processes claims for the following states/regions:

  • Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi

Regional Home Health Intermediary (RHHI)—Home Health & Hospice

  • Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia
